Anton Simeonov

Dr. Simeonov, the author and inventor on over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications and patents, comes to the center with a truly diverse background, ranging from bio-organic chemistry and molecular biology to microfluidic device research and development. Prior to joining NCGC in November 2004, Dr. Simeonov was a senior scientist at Caliper Life Sciences, a leading developer of microfluidic technologies, where he was responsible for both basic research on novel assay chemistries and development of microfluidic products. Dr. Simeonov is a Literature Editor of Assay and Drug Development Technologies, a bi-monthly journal published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. His current research interests include novel detection chemistries and techniques, assay miniaturization, and novel approaches to screening.
